About Us
Railway Sleepers Services
ENGIPRESS INDUSTRIES PVT. LIMITED (earlier known as Engineers Prestressed Structures
Pvt. Ltd.) is situated at Pipersewa Industrial Area, Near Shanichara Railway Station, in
Jhansi Division of North Central Railways, 25 Kms from Gwalior and 300 Kms from New
Delhi.
The unit was established on 3rd Dec 1979 at Banmore, Dist. Morena. The production started in
Oct 1981. This unit was the first concrete sleeper unit to be established in the state of Madhya
Pradesh. The initial technical know-how for the unit was provided by IIT, Madras. In 2020, the
unit was relocated to the present location at Shanichara due to the construction of 3rd Line
between Mathura and Jhansi, and hence, the Banmore yard was vacated for this purpose The
Shanichara unit is an ISO/9001:2015 unit.
The factory is approved by the RDSO to cast and manufacture Mainline sleepers to RDSO
Drawing T-8527/T-8746. It is also approved for Points and Crossing sleepers for 1/12
Turnouts, 1/8.5 Turnouts and 1/8.5 Derailing Switch sets, and other special sleepers like
Level Crossing, Bridge Approach, Switch Expansion Joint, Guard Rail, Re-Railing Ramp
etc. We have recently started our foray into international expansion.
